FIDE Al-Ain ACMG Academy starts on 31 January 2026
FIDE Al-Ain ACMG Academy is pleased to announce the launch of its online training phase, which will be delivered in multiple languages and organized into dedicated training groups. This phase brings together leading international trainers and elite chess experts to provide high-level instruction and structured development.
The online training program will take place every weekend, starting on 31 January 2026 and concluding on 26 April 2026, in accordance with the schedule outlined below.
Following the online phase, the program will continue with an in-person training stage, designed to further enhance both chess excellence and personal development.
Participation in the in-person training program will be limited to twelve (12) players, who will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Attendance
A minimum attendance rate of 75% during the online training phase is required to be eligible for selection. Priority will be given to players with the highest attendance records.
- Playing Strength
Players will be evaluated based on their FIDE Standard Rating.
- Language Requirement
Participants must be able to understand English for chess training purposes.
- Wild Cards
One (1) wild card will be awarded by the FIDE Trainers’ Commission.
One (1) wild card will be awarded by the FIDE Al-Ain ACMG Academy Organizing Committee.
- Gender Balance
Efforts will be made to ensure balanced representation of boys and girls among the selected participants.
Through this structured pathway—from comprehensive online education to intensive in-person elite training—the FIDE Al-Ain ACMG Academy continues to develop not only future champions, but also future leaders of the global chess community.
